The Olympic Games in 1992
The Olympic games in 1992 added to Barcelona’s ‘must see’ attractions. Many important areas of the city were rebuilt, especially the coastal area and the Montjuic mountain, where the Olympic Stadium and the Palau Sant Jordi are.
Since then, more than 6 million tourists visit Barcelona every year, being the second most important city for tourism in Spain.
Courses Offered Ages: 10-13 and 14-17 years
Spanish Language and Cultures
Every student attends 4 language lessons every day. Depending on the group assigned at the beginning of the course, these lessons can take place in the mornings or in the afternoons. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes (3 hours per day).
Based on a carefully designed syllabus and our Sight and Sound methodology, the lessons cover the principal issues of the Spanish language, such as grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing.
Culture; Consists of special Spanish lessons dedicated to learning more about Spanish culture. These lessons are great fun and use all of the learning senses.
There are 7 hours of Spanish Culture lessons based on a specific Spanish topic each week. They are followed by a 4 hour cultural trip that will help to better understand everything explained and discussed in the previous lessons.

Accommodation
- All single rooms with Internet landline connexion.
- Shared bathrooms
- En-suite rooms (50 €/week extra)
- Separate male and female accommodation.
- Full laundry services for bed linen (students need to bring their own towels).
- The school offers full facilities: gymnasium, swimming pool, computer room, theatre, TV rooms, outdoor sports areas…
- The school is totally secure with lockable exterior gates and lockable doors to all dormitories. 24 hours supervision.
A member of the staff sleeps on every floor.
Meals: Full Spanish and International buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including at least 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts.
*Vegetarian meals available as well as special meals for students with dietary requirements.
Sports & Fun Activities
Due to the large and well equipped facilities in our school, sport is a very important part of the summer programme. Students are able to play football, basketball, volleyball and water polo in our Olympic swimming pool among many other sports.
For those less sporty students and during the evening, multiple workshops and other activities are organised such as team building, T-shirt making, talent shows, casino nights and discos.
Excursions
Not only for fun but also to live a real ‘Spanish Experience’. There ir one full day and one half day excursion per week for all students.
Enjoy visits to typical Spanish coastal villages, important museums, archaeological sites and beaches… amusement parks such as Port Aventura or the Barcelona Football Club Stadium! Plus shopping in the famous Gothic quarter and Las Ramblas
